Despite a solid 30 minutes camped in their 22 we weren't able to convert that into points in what was otherwise an encouraging and positive performance. The host team were a strong side who took their chances well in a game where the scoreline perhaps didn't do us justice.

Charity News

Last weekend the bar staff donated their “one for themselves” to the charity Amy’s Space Team and were also thrilled with the response from the club members.

Old Brentwoods 18 - Millwall 1's 13

Millwall won the first half – a couple of well worked trys so us go into half time 10-0. However, after what was a very stern talking to from their coach at half time OB’s promptly got themselves back in the game with trys that we couldn’t be mad about. It then came down to a penalty kick from OB’s, then Millwall got one. With not all that long to go, it all came down to a fairly last-minute score. In such a game it could easily have gone either way – it was just unfortunate for us it went the way of the Woodies.

Thanks to Old Brentwoods for hosting the match at the last minute. Got to love a club that has a supporters dug out.

Elsewhere the Lllamas suffered a narrow defeat at Woodford - 27-26. A few players took the blame later in the clubhouse which is somewhat commendable.

Millwall Venus 5 – Haringey 20

In what I’m assured was a good game Venus put up a decent fight against the visiting side. One supporter commenting it was an encouraging game to watch with the newer players growing into the game, particularly in the second half.
