Save The Dates

As we approach the end of the playing season it’s time to look forward to the key club events coming up.

23rd April – England v Rest of the World Day

Yes, the almighty day where we celebrate being probably the club with the most diverse player base in non-professional rugby (not a verified fact) with playing against each other is back.  Always a great feel good day at the club.

14th May - AGM

This is where you get to have your say on who represents you in the running of the club,  or perhaps you decide to put your hand up and take on a role-  there are plenty of jobs that need willing people to do them.

More details to follow nearer the time.

18th June - End of Season Dinner

Ok so we were all looking forward to celebrating 25 years of Millwall RFC but then covid got in the way.

This years dinner returning after a 2 year hiatus should be a good night to get dressed up, get together and celebrate all things Millwall Rugby.

More details on this to follow very soon.

Weekend Round Up 19/02 & 20/02

Saturday 19/02

Upminster 12 – Llamas 16

Rugby clubs up and down the country will have reflected on the tragic passing of Evesham player Jack Jeffrey last weekend, and so it was at Upminster with the players of both games and club members paying tribute before the respective KO's.

A muddy and heavier than it needed to be game saw both teams struggling to make the most of their opportunities at times, Upminster started to find their stride in the second half while the Llamas held onto what could have been a bigger lead. The conditions meant this was always going to be a hard day at the scrum and the Llamas pack made a decent fist of it to allow some backs movement.

Sunday 20/02

Rams 5 Venus 0

Windsor 33 Venus 0

Not content with one last minute friendly, Venus snuck in two mini games on Sunday with a mini tournament at Windsor in the still rather inclement weather.  The MVP of the day goes to (not surprisingly, it was not backs friendly weather) second row Flavia Bivikorang, great job on her first match for the club.

Upcoming fixtures

Saturday 26/02

Millwall 1s / Llamas – To be confirmed

Sunday  27/02

Mixed Touch as usual
