Facing a vying for the top of the table Maldon was always going to be a tough prospect but the forwards rose to the challenge, keeping the score to 0-5 going into half time was a real achievement.  Although improved tackling almost universally was in effect, defending in your own half will eventually wear the team down as the full time score line suggests.

Clacton 39 - Millwall 1's 12 - I was unable to source an appropriate comment on the game.

Llamas 14 - Pegasus 64 - Pegasus had a stronger physical presence that they were able to utilise effectively perhaps due to the Llamas running into them rather a lot. The Llamas second try showed what could be done with a decent break and support play.
