A word on Discipline from the Chairman
With the season having drawn to a close, it is heartening that there have been no disciplinary charges brought against our players, supporters and members. Long may that continue. Unfortunately, the good discipline seen at Millwall has not always been replicated elsewhere.
The Chair of the Essex County RFU disciplinary committee has recently written to clubs to warn the touchline behaviour in the county has reached an all-time low. All clubs have been put on notice that any instance of behaviour that bring the club into disrepute will be dealt with most severely, whether at youth or adult level. League points deductions and bans from cup competitions are likely to follow.
It is therefore essential that all of us at Millwall continue to embody the core rugby values of teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship, and not rise to any bad behaviour on the part of opposing spectators.
